Michael Murray was born and raised in a suburb of New York City. From a young age he knew martial arts was his calling. Murray immersed himself in training and started competing in martial arts as a novice. He is a Gold medal holder in national tournaments including NAGA and Grappler’s Quest. He attained his first and second degree black belt and fought as a professional MMA competitor under Master Tiger Schulmann and the prestigious Tiger Schulmann’s Fight Team in New Jersey. Mike quickly gained an undefeated professional record, all while maintaining a full-time MMA coaching position.
Parallel to his martial arts career, Mike’s passion for self defense and morality drew him to pursue a career in the US Military. He enlisted in the US Army as a young adult, served for a year in Iraq, and maintained a strong commitment to the National Guard while returning to MMA competition and teaching. He has brought many students, age five through adult, to nation-wide competitions where many received the highest ranks in their divisions. He has continued to compete, and currently holds a professional record of 5-1, with all victories by technical knockout or submission. In 2018, Mike and his wife opened their first martial arts venture, Got Your 6 Mixed Martial Arts, in South Florida.
GY6MMA opened its first location in a beautiful 2,000-square foot facility in the Lake Ida Plaza, at the corner of Lake Ida Road and Congress Avenue in Delray Beach, FL. The location is easily accessible from both Route 1 and I-95, and is minutes from neighboring towns of Boca Raton and Boynton Beach.

Jackie Neilson knew from a young age that she wanted to help people become the best versions of themselves. But her world changed forever when she started her martial arts training. Jackie loved the strong discipline of martial arts and became very dedicated to this exciting, new world of optimal fitness and hands on self-defense. She knew this was how she wanted to help people achieve their goals, too.
Jackie achieved numerous first place awards in tournaments and competitions before she had even graduated college. Today, a mixed martial arts black belt, Jackie dedicates herself to training and teaching…sometimes kids in tow! Being a mom of two young children, Jackie understands firsthand the challenges that come with being an ‘adult’ athlete with dedication and encourages people to find the time in their busy lives to train, no matter what. She has unrelenting energy for helping others find the key to their own success, and has a sweet spot for moms and women everywhere!
Martial arts also led Jackie to follow her passion of teaching children. She takes great pride in her preschool karate program at Got Your 6 MMA in Delray Beach, where she teaches youngsters age 3 and 4 what non-quitting spirit and goal achievement means, in a structured and rewarding atmosphere.
